I dreamed that I was reading a very big book, maybe around 600 pages long. The book was yellow, had thin white pages from a material similar to magazines more than regular paper, and it was worn out. Someone had covered the book over the years to protect it and that was old too. It was about 20 or 30 years old since it had been published and it had two sections: one with the old and historical theories, which took about 80% of the book. The final 20% was dedicated to new theories, the most current understanding of the subject. It had a few chapters by different contemporary authors, all authors I knew of and have read to some degree, but maybe not as thoroughly. And the key is that they were no longer new, most of them were already old when they wrote their chapter and were dead by now. But I felt great satisfaction by reading it, it made me feel like I could be up to date, that by finishing the last 20% of the book I could have the necessary basis to understand all the theory I needed. I started reading and I felt tremendously comfortable and familiar with the first chapter, from an author that I had read a lot. It explained concepts that I had no trouble understanding. I navigated the book quite quickly and felt great about myself.
Based on your dream, it seems to reflect a strong desire to acquire knowledge and to feel up-to-date in a particular subject or area of interest in your waking life. The large book symbolizes a comprehensive source of knowledge and wisdom. The fact that it is yellow and worn-out suggests that the information within it has stood the test of time and carries historical significance.
The two sections of the book, with the majority dedicated to old theories and the remaining portion focusing on new theories, represent a desire for a balanced understanding of both traditional and contemporary perspectives. The fact that the authors of the new theories are already deceased suggests that you feel the need to catch up and become familiar with their work in order to stay informed.
The satisfaction and comfort you feel while reading the book indicate your confidence and competence in understanding the concepts and theories presented. This dream signifies your eagerness to expand your knowledge and feel competent in a particular subject, giving you a sense of confidence and satisfaction. It may be reflective of your thirst for learning and your drive to stay updated in your professional or personal pursuits.
